Our Team

Since the 2026 season, Audi has been competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship.
 
The new team has three locations. The Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Formula 1 factory of Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Audi Motorsport Technology Center in UK is in its launch phase and growing continuously. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations. 
 
What you need? The mindset of an athlete. If you are someone for whom giving up isn’t an option and limits are just something to be overcome, you can bring Vorsprung durch Technik to Formula 1 with us. Become part of this unique project and make motorsport history. 
 
Our internships as well as thesis projects last at least four months, are full-time, and we offer fair compensation.
 
This position is scheduled to start from October 2026. To apply, we require a current CV, relevant certificates, a certificate of enrollment, and, if applicable, your university’s examination regulations as well as an up-to-date, official transcript of records. Please note that all theses are subject to a confidentiality clause, and an additional non-disclosure agreement with the university supervisor may be required.

This position is to be filled at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg (Germany).

Seize the opportunity to actively contribute to our future sporting success. Controlling is a central part of the Finance team and works closely with all departments of AFR GmbH. Together, we drive projects, analyses and decision making processes, ensuring that figures not only add up but also create real value. As an intern, you will be right in the middle of the action, supporting us in implementing complex topics in an efficient, structured and goal oriented manner.

Your Mission

  • Support budget and forecast processes

  • Contribute to evaluations, analyses and reports, such as monthly reports and variance analyses

  • Assist in operational controlling activities and month end closings

  • Support profitability and cost analyses

  • Contribute to the further development of reporting and controlling processes

  • Work closely with departments such as Engineering, Purchasing, Logistics and Accounting

Your Profile

  • Ongoing studies in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or a comparable degree program, ideally with a technical focus

  • Strong interest in figures, processes and economic interrelationships

  • Confident use of MS Office, especially Excel; first experience with Power BI or SAP FI/CO is a plus but not required

  • Structured and analytical way of thinking

  • Open and communicative personality with a strong team spirit

  • High level of initiative and motivation to learn new things

  • Fluent German and English language skills

  • An affinity for Formula 1 is welcome
