Our Team

Since the 2026 season, Audi has been competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship.
 
The new team has three locations. The Motorsport Competence Center of Audi in Neuburg (Germany) is considered one of the most modern of its kind in Europe. The Formula 1 factory of Audi Motorsport AG in Hinwil (Switzerland) is known for its innovative technologies and passion for racing. The Audi Motorsport Technology Center in UK is in its launch phase and growing continuously. Our Power Unit comes from Neuburg, while Hinwil is responsible for the development of the chassis and race operations. 
 
What you need? The mindset of an athlete. If you are someone for whom giving up isn’t an option and limits are just something to be overcome, you can bring Vorsprung durch Technik to Formula 1 with us. Become part of this unique project and make motorsport history. 
 
Our internships as well as thesis projects last at least four months, are full-time, and we offer fair compensation.
 
This position is scheduled to start from September 2026. This position is to be filled at Audi Formula Racing GmbH in Neuburg (Germany).

In the IT department of Audi Formula Racing GmbH, you will work on the design and development of central IT solutions across all areas of the company. In doing so, we shape the future IT landscape and support digital transformation in motorsport. Our focus is on innovative and sustainable IT solutions for forward-looking developments in motorsport. You will provide support in the field of AI and automation within the IT department of Audi Formula Racing GmbH.

Your Mission

  • You work with our business units to identify processes that can be made significantly more efficient through AI and automation

  • You independently design and develop prototypes, automations, and AI-based workflows

  • By using tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or APIs, you implement concrete solutions

  • You translate business requirements into technical solutions

  • You design and implement AI agents and automations

  • You analyze the market for new AI tools, test them independently, evaluate their value, and quickly bring viable solutions into operational use

Your Profile

  • You are pursuing a degree in AI, Automation, Computer Science, or a related field; Ideally, the basic studies have already been completed

  • Strong knowledge of the programming languages SQL, Python, C#, and TypeScript

  • Confident use of standard software development tools such as Git, Jira, and Confluence

  • Solid understanding of AI concepts, ideally with hands-on experience using automation tools such as Power Automate, n8n, or similar frameworks

  • Strong enthusiasm for artificial intelligence, particularly the application of LLMs and agent-based systems

  • High level of commitment, motivation, and flexibility

  • Independent, responsible, and service-oriented working style with strong teamwork skills
